Serengetidipity Discovery

2016, while on safari, we admired a performance by a Maasai vocal group at the Four Season Resort. Entirely captivated by the lead singers unusually high pitch voice the bonfire illuminated a young mans face, a strong tenor, the Frankie Vallie of the Serengeti. The blackened sky lit up with a thousand thoughts, my next vocalist was calling out.

 

I swiftly approached the General Manager for permission to meet the lead vocalist and share the goals of our evolving music collaborative. With shared enthusiasm, I rang Alex and arranged for Nemaa's first visit to the studio.

Biography

Nemaa Koshuma, local tribesmen from Kakesio Village Ngorongoro District, Arusha Region is an unstoppable warrior using his compelling tenor voice to express concerns for the future of Maasailand. The Frankie Valli of the Serengeti, Koshuma can be recognized for his unusually powerful lead falsetto voice. Koshuma applies his vocal talents and Voice of Maasai platform to speak out about the rapidly changing space of his homeland. While Koshuma is not writing compelling lyrics he is a mechanic at the Four Seasons Resort Serengeti.
