Celebrations Over Sorrows

A sudden encounter springs into happy hugs and tears of relief

Quickly moves into something deeper

He tells me prison has been his keeper

This war of times is more like a silent sweeper

Come my dear

I’ll offer celebration over sorrows

None of it ever comes easy

So used to loss

A constant state of alteration

Identity grows stronger

A partial change

Not distinctly different from what he was yesterday

Hey you, when you feel detached

Tap the dreams that need to be

Don’t let them collapse in society

Stay strong in the mind

The machine that tries to bind

Will not be priority

Come my dear

We’ll choose celebration over sorrows

Keep your walls

And your paper scrolls

I’ll go back to big cats, thorns, and open sky

I’ll find my people and discuss our next try
